HTML is a Hypertext Markup Language developed by Tim Berners-Lee in the year of 1993. Now HTML is maintained and developing by World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). There are many version released from it’s first developed. The most popular version is HTML5 which was released in the year of 2014 by W3C HTML working group (WHATWG).

The usage of HTML is to develop Websites, a website is something which we see in the browser and the most popular website in the world today is Facebook, Twitter, Google etc. The purpose of HTML is used to develop basic and advance structure of a websites or applications. Once structure is designed we could apply theming on top of the HTML with the help of CSS (Cascade Stylesheet).

We could write HTML code in any text editor but we must save it as .html extension and then open in any browser such as Chrome, Mozilla or Safari to see the live demo.
